How it works
In-home detox for alcohol and other drugs
Recover from addiction at home
If you have a dependence on alcohol or other drugs we can safely and discreetly detox you in the comfort and privacy of your own home. We will guide you through the entire process, so all you need to do is focus on your recovery.
We provide a telehealth detox service for lower risk patients and an in-person detox service for higher risk patients. See below for the differences between the two and which service may be right for you.
To get started all you need to do is contact us. One of our friendly team members will ask you a few questions, send you a pre-assessment form and book you in for your first appointment.
The Home Detox Process
Designed and delivered by medical professionals
Stage 1. Home Assessment
Our doctor conducts a full medical assessment to ensure your safety and eligibility for a home detox. We provide pathology requests; create a personalised withdrawal plan; prepare you for the detox; and educate you and your support person on the withdrawal process. We also keep your existing healthcare team updated every step of the way.
Stage 2. Home Detox
The home detox takes around seven days and is usually scheduled in a week after your initial assessment. Each morning you will have an appointment with our doctor who will adjust your withdrawal medications and manage any cravings to make you as comfortable as possible. We also provide 24/7 medical support during this time so you or your support person can check-in at any time. You must have a support person with you at all times during this phase of treatment. This can be multiple people throughout the week, but someone must be with you at all times to ensure your safety.
Stage 3. Aftercare
We understand that your recovery doesn’t end once the withdrawal process is complete. That’s why we provide you with an aftercare plan that is tailored to your individual needs, with regular follow-up appointments over the next 12 months.
