A seven-day detox and 12-month aftercare program
We know how difficult it is to stop drinking and how overwhelming the recovery process can seem. Our alcohol home detox program will help you safely withdraw from alcohol and give you a clear plan so you can confidently manage your own recovery. We also provide 12-months of support and regular check-in appointments to keep you on track and achieve lasting success.
How To Get Started
- Contact us and we will send you our pre-assessment form.
- Complete our online pre-assessment form which takes about 5 or 10 minutes and then we can book your first appointment.
- Arrange a support person: someone will need to stay with you during the 7-day detox to ensure your safety.
How The Alcohol Home Detox Works
We guide you through our three step process so we are with you at every step
Stage 1. Home Assessment
Our doctor conducts a full medical assessment to ensure your safety and eligibility for a home detox. We provide pathology requests; create a personalised withdrawal plan; prepare you for the detox; and educate you and your support person on the withdrawal process. We also keep your existing healthcare team updated every step of the way.
Stage 2. Home Detox
The home detox takes around seven days and is usually scheduled a week after your initial assessment. During the home detox, our doctor makes daily home visits for at least the first four days to adjust your withdrawal medications and manage any cravings. The prescription medications are included in the program cost and provided to you at your appointments. This means you don’t need to make daily trips to the chemist when you feel at your worst, potentially bumping into people you know. We also provide 24/7 medical support during this time so we are with you every step of the way. You must have a support person with you at all times during the detox. This can be multiple people throughout the week, but someone must be with you at all times to ensure your safety.
Stage 3. Aftercare
We understand that your recovery doesn’t end once the withdrawal process is complete. That’s why we provide you with an aftercare plan that is tailored to your individual needs, with regular follow-up appointments over the next 12 months.
