Home Detox Delivery Options
Telehealth or In-Person
If you have a dependency on alcohol, cannabis or cocaine you can start your recovery journey at home. You will receive expert medical care and guidance throughout the entire detox process so you can safely withdraw in comfort and privacy.
We offer two ways to complete your home detox program: via telehealth or in-person care. Both options follow the same structured process, ensuring safety, comfort, and support throughout your detox journey.
Telehealth Detox
Delivered through secure video consultations, this option is available Australia-wide. It’s best suited for lower-risk cases and offers convenience without compromising on care. You’ll be reviewed daily by our doctor, with 24/7 support as needed.
In-Person Detox
If you live on the Gold Coast or can arrange temporary accommodation, our in-person program provides the gold standard of home detox care. A qualified healthcare professional will visit you daily to monitor your progress, with hands-on support throughout your detox.
Our Process
What to Expect at Each Step
Every client goes through the same carefully designed process to ensure a safe, effective, and personalised detox experience — no matter which delivery option you choose.
Assessment & Planning
1-2 Weeks
Pre-Assessment
First, you will complete an online pre-assessment form. This helps us understand your medical history, current medications, level of dependency and any risks that might affect your detox. Based on this information, we can tailor the safest plan for your needs. Once this has been completed and reviewed by our medical team, we can book you in for your free assessment with our doctor.
Planning Consultation
You’ll meet with our doctor to develop your personalised detox plan. During this consultation, we’ll explain what to expect, outline your support structure, provide preparation guidelines, and address any concerns you may have. This is also an ideal time for your support person to join us and learn about their important role in your detox journey. Following your appointment, you’ll need to complete blood tests and begin taking recommended multivitamins to prepare your body for the detox process.
Home Detox Week
1 Week
Home Detox Begins
Once the plan is approved, your detox starts at home. You’ll receive daily check-ins — via telehealth or in-person — with clear medical guidance, support, and medications where clinically appropriate.
Ongoing Monitoring
Throughout the detox, we monitor your symptoms and progress. Adjustments are made as needed to ensure your safety and comfort. Our doctor will keep in regular contact with you throughout the day, and you will have a direct line to our doctor should you or your support person have any questions or concerns.
Aftercare
12 Months
Aftercare Plan
Once detox is complete, we stay with you. We provide you with an aftercare plan that is tailored to your needs and personal preferences so you can confidently manage your own recovery moving forward. This plan provides information about any anti-craving medications that you may be prescribed, relapse prevention strategies, useful resources and recommendations to other services if required. We also write a detailed discharge summary to your existing healthcare team so they can also support you in your recovery.
Ongoing Support
We schedule in regular follow-up appointments to help keep you on track and adjust your aftercare plan if required. The frequency of these appointments can be adjusted to suit your needs, and extra appointments booked in at no extra cost.
Eligibility
Most people are able to detox from home with close medical supervision. To ensure your safety, each client must have a support person who can remain with them during the seven-day withdrawal period. This is usually a loved one or close friend who you want to be involved in your care. They don’t need any medical training. They just need to keep a close eye on you during your detox and contact our doctor if they have any questions or concerns.
